Fitness is a phrase used in everyday life, but few people understand how to define it.

These are concepts that have become established in communicating and people understand what the word describes.  However, for an excellent understanding of fitness, ie: are you fit, is the individual in great shape, and are you engaged in an action that meets fitness criteria, it’s essential to provide definitions.

If we talk about fitness as a physical action then fitness has two goals:

Lowering the risk of developing the illness,

Improving the quality of life.

According to the WHO (World Health Organization), every fourth person in the world is insufficiently active, and physical inactivity is recorded as the principal risk factor for non-communicable ailments.  (2)

There’s ample evidence of the benefits of physical activity and of decreasing the prevalence of those diseases through regular physical activity.

The standard of life will improve not only through the stated health benefits but also because of socialization, greater vitality, and secretion of mood-boosting hormones.

The elements of a health-oriented gym are:

  1. Body composition
  2. Muscle endurance
  3. Cardiorespiratory endurance
  4. Flexibility
  5. Power

To determine in which part there’s a deficit, it’s necessary to do testing.  After the based testing, in the beginning, an individual should predominantly concentrate on the part for which there is the biggest deficit, but not forget the others.  After a certain period (a few months), the testing is repeated and a new training program is made.

The aim is to collaborate with physicians.  Doctors will refer patients to accredited centers to run the health-oriented physical action.  With systematic diagnostics, controlled and planned strategy, and application, physical activity will serve its purpose – a healthy and excellent life!
